Naturally, they are heavy and, for obvious reasons, susceptible to heat damage - although only if you set down a red-hot pan straight from the oven.

Today, chrome is back in vogue again, aided by chic designs that mean rectangular is no longer the only option. Chrome kitchen sinks come in a range of designs, including extra-deep double sinks for serious chefs, and chic circular designs that mix style with functionality.
