When is the best time for me to do ROTC or Air Force Reserve?

I want to join the Air Force and work on being a mechanic, but I'm very undecisive as to when to join. I want to get my bachelor's degree on mechanical engineering and continue on graduate school, and I also want to go for the Air Force for experience, discipline, and more.

With ROTC all you have to do is 2 years during your time in college. You will then get commissioned after wards which means you have to go Active Duty. If it's about getting college paid for these are two good opitons. Just be sure to ask the AF Reserve recruiter what tuition they will cover. It can vary. I'm not sure about the Reserves but it can take sometime to get your commission as Officer if you are start out enlisted. You want to have an impecible record, listen to your supervisor and always go above and beyond what is required. Have a plan and goals. Most times you only make rank when there is a opening so you do not want to apart of a small Reserve unit. Hope this helps.
