soapstone sink

What can I use to patch a small crack in a very old soapstone sink?
Sink is very old and is used as a slop sink in the basement. It has recently started leaking from underneath. The crack is only visible from underneath, nothing visible inside. I don't care what it looks like as it is in the basement and under the sink. Any suggestions? Can I use an Epoxy or Hydraulic cement?
I think I would try the epoxy. Hydraulic cement might crack it more when it expands.
