why is the hot water in the bathtub/shower not as hot as the water in the sinks/wash machine?

we recently had new bathtubs installed and ever since the water hasn't be hot?? we also had new sinks installed but the water is still hot. rrrg!! can someone help please?!

Most likely you have an anti-scald faucet. This is adjustable by pulling off the handle and resetting a ring. You will probably need the original directions to do this or go online to the valve manufacturers website.
