Cleaning a plastic textured sink?

Hello
Our kitchen sink is made of plastic(I think) and has a textured surface. From the moment we moved in it became dirty very fast and is impossible to get clean. It always looks very dirty. I don't know if this is because of the texture or because it may be cheap! In any case, I was wondering if anyone had any tricks up their sleeves to clean it thoroughly. Bleach doesn't work and I haven't come across any other cleaning products that work.

There are two natural cleaners I love to work with that can get really effective, cheap, and kind to your hands. The first is baking soda, try adding just enough water it it to make a paste and work in in... it may be just abrasive enough to get into the tiny crevices but won't be so harsh as to ruin the surface. The other is white vinegar which works well on stains and discolorations. If you can open a window/tolerate the smell you can spray it on with a spray bottle and let it sit for a few minutes before rinsing. (If its mostly inside the sink, try filling it up with the hottest water you can get and adding 2-3 cups of white vinegar and let it soak.) (This like the baking soda won't harm your sink.) You could also try doing them together (using the paste then spraying the vinegar, or spraying then applying the paste.) I've personally never tried this (never had to) but it may give you an extra boost of effectiveness if one of them doesn't work alone. (The resulting chemical reaction may get into the tiny pores you normally can't get into.)

Other then those, what comes to mind is the Mr. Clean eraser. I've found they can tackle any bad stains I get, but they don't hold up well on textured surfaces. (Home improvement stores sell similar ones at cheaper prices. I find they don't hold up as well, but if you're using them on a rough surface they're great since you'll end up spending less money by the time you're done.)
