How to tighten polaris trailblazer chain???

I have a 2003 250 trailblazer.
I need to tighten the chain.
when i try to rotate the big hex thing on the rear housing it doesnt rotate.
am i doing it right?
i am using a biiiiggg pipe wrench so i have leverage.
which way should it rotate???

you got the same one i got i turned mine towards the back of it,and that tightened it,if you got the lock nuts loose on it,it should move some,their hard to get to move,if they haven't been turned in a while,and you may need two pipe wrenches on it,one side will try to bind on them sometimes,good luck on it.
