Base edge beveling on skis with SKS multi tool?
I recently bought an SKS multi tool for tuning my base and side edges on my skis and I am a little confused on how to do the base bevel. When doing the side edge you get a nice guide, but when you do the base edge I feel like I am filing on an inconsistent angle and I feel like there is nothing guiding the file. Can somebody tell me the proper technique for tuning the base bevel with this tool.
Exactly it works great on for the side edges but there is essentially no guidance for the base edge. I just want a 1 degree bevel and I have no idea if that's what I am getting.
Are you just trying to bevel the bottom of the edges or the entire base of the ski? I loked online at the tool and it's not something I've ever used for base work. I can easily see how that tool would work on the side edges, but not that sure how it would be used on the base. It looks kinda small.
