Slope Laser

Help with math homework please!?
A Martian spacecraft lands in city A at the x intercept of the path 2x-4y=-8.
A klingon spacecraft lands at the y intercept of the path 3x=3-y/2.
The Defense Department wishes to annihilate the intruders by firing a laser on a path that would destroy both spaceships at once. Find the equation of the path in slope intercept form.
2x=4y-8
x=2y-4
(-4, 0)
-y/2=3x-3
(-2)-y/2=(-2)3x-3
y=-6x+6
(0, 6)
And calculate the slope of those two points on your own.
