Do glass tiles require a special kind of cutting blade?

I just purchased and installed some glass tiles for a kitchen back splash. The instruction sheet with the tiles said to use a continuous ceramic saw blade. I could not find one anywhere. The tile shop said that they could order one, but I could have done that myself through the tile company, Daltile.
I had a 7" wet saw to use. I went to Home Depot and bought a Hot Dog diamond blade. Going VERY slow, I made all the cuts that I needed. I had no problem.
