Wood Lattice

Any advice on sealing a deck?
Deck is made of "salt treated" (same as "pressure treated?") wood. It was constructed one year ago. There is a wood lattice under the deck.
Any advice on how to apply and/or product recommendation would be appreciated.
I happen to prefer Comptins (sp) over Thompsons, but neither are sealers in a strict sense.
Were you advised, or can you be, by the company that sold you or installed the deck. I think I'd want to know the reaction between any sealer/ treatment chemical, and whatever was used to treat the deck initially.
Added thoughts: It's Comptons, and my choice, but does essentially the same job as other treatment substances.
To apply any, one can use a 2.5 gal. pump sprayer, as long as pressure is maintained, and the substane is of a thin enough consistency. For a flat surface application it can also be brushed or rolled on.
