Wheel Loader Bucket

Leaking hydraulic cylinder?
This is on the front end loader of a tractor. There are two large 2-way cylinders that raise and lower the bucket, and two smaller 2-way cylinders that change the angle of the bucket. When I raise the bucket with the big cylinders, it slowly comes down on its own. It comes down 2-3 inches per minute whether the engine is on or off. I recently changed the hydraulic fluid, but that made no effect. It also seems to lack power when raising a full bucket of material. It does seem to have plenty of power when I push the arms down (enough to raise the front wheels off the ground).
How would I go about diagnosing the internal leak? I figure it's leaking from one end or the other of both cylinders, or possibly its leaking where the controls are (spool valve?). The controls have 2 levers, 1 to raise and lower, 1 to scoop and dump.
It's most likely a bad seal inside the control valve. They're fairly easy to rebuild if you have the right tools, but you'll have to drain the hydraulic lines and then remove the valves to rebuild them.
