Should i disowned my sister ?
My sister and i live together for 3 years and renewed our lease.For the past 3 years i did and do everything in the house.Cook and clean.Sometimes i get feed up and the dishes piles up in the sink. Garbage overflow and house smell like crap. Going trough a depression (abuse as a child,raped and had abusive boyfriends) I attempted suicide twice.She saw the warning signs and told me she saw it but didn't do anything. Now i'm feel like a hypocrite because i tell jokes and smile.Pretend that everything is ok but it's not. My birthday was last week and she bought me a present but the next day she ignored me.
No I dont think you should disown her but you really need to not be living with her. If she cared about you when you were going through such things, she would have talked to you and been there for you. Not ignore you. Keep your distance from those who make you depressed because from experience, once youve went through depression...it doesnt take much for it to sneak back up on you. Do what makes you happy. I wish there was something I could say or do to make you feel better because I have been through a lot of things you have and know exactly how you feel. I used to smile to cover up that I was depressed... Hun, its not worth it. You need to tell her to find somewhere else to live. Have you tried talking to her? Making out a schedule of who clean and cooks? Things like that. If youve tried these things already. Its about time you start caring more about yourself and not worry about your sister so much.
