Trimming Trim Tool
Easiest way to trim roots off 2 acres worth of garlic? Is there a special tool?
First time planting so much garlic which will be ready to harvest in about a month, and there should be an easier way to trim off the roots than using scissors or a knife, shouldn't there?
What do the huge garlic farms use? Is there a special tool to trim the roots off from the basal plate or is it all done by hand using cheap labor? I'm guessing there must be some type of tool, as most garlic in supermarkets looks to be trimmed too perfectly. Even if the tool / machine is pricey, then I might be able to validate the cost, as I plan on planting around 6 acres this autumn, and even more in following years.

Best to my knowledge... There is a machine being tested for the process but most of that work is still done by hand.
