I got braces yesterday morning and I have a bunch of questions hep me please.?

I got braces yesterday morning and I have a bunch of questions hep me please. First I tried to floss with the little floss threader. I understand how to use it. But my two lower front teeth are so close together that the floss wont go between it split the floss into 3 strands when i tried and it kills when I try to fit it through. When I didn't have braces I could floss fine now it hurts to floss and its hard to fit it through. Also how exactly do I brush I THINK i was told first in a circular motion for every tooth than go up and down for every tooth. Is this right? When will they stop hurting. Normally they just have a throbing pain on the bottom set and it doesn't hurt that bad. When I bite down or try a failed attempt at flossing they hurt extreamly bad. Will all this pain go away if so how long.

Awww, you poor thing!!! I remember those painful days too, back when I had braces on for two years!!! Don't worry, trust me the pain is totally going to be worth it. My teeth didn't even look like I needed braces when I put my on, and I still don't regret feeling the burn and pain for a better smile (smiles ^_^). Ok, first of all, the way for brushing your teeth is fine, but to be honest, eventually you'll end up developing a different technique if you aren't careful. Brush twice and thrice an many times, to avoid ANY cavities! As for now that you just put your braces on, I suggest NOT to floss unless it is EXTREMELY necessary. You know why? Because your mouth and body are still getting accustomed to the new foreign body, the metal and stuff, so flossing might just cause inflammation. I have very sensitive gums and trust me I know what I'm talking about. Even if your doctor told you to floss, try to ignore that for a while until some of the pain goes away; trust me, a cavity won't be formed from two days of not flossing, and as long as you brush your teeth well enough, you'll be fine. If you aren't sure of how to brush your teeth, remember: circles, gums out, down, in, repeat thrice. Circles implies circular motions, gums out means from the gums to the end of the tooth, down would be the place where cavities usually form, and in inside of course. I'm afraid you won't get used to the braces until a few weeks later, but the dramatic pain will fade away by the third day. Try not to bite a lot, if that helps (like leave your teeth hanging open for a while, that reduces pain because you won't be applying much pressure on your jaw). Be careful not to bite yourself at night, that happened to me a lot at first. Get that wax thingy special for wearing braces if you don't have it, but I honestly hated using that because it made me throw up in the morning lol (I get disgusted easily). You might experience random headaches, so frequent that at the end you won't even know you have a headache! Even now that my wisdom teeth and coming out I get those headaches (if I didn't explain myself, you'll know soon enough). And if it gets to the extreme, drink some Tylenol or grind a painkiller tablet for kids and spread it on your teeth. Hope I helped! Any questions, feel free to ask me ^_^.
