What if you were missing an engine ground?

you know that ground that connects the block to the power steering pump. Then there's another that connects the Power steering pump to the body/chassis. I think it's called a daisy chain. What would happen to the car if those ground cables weren't there at all. I'm not gonna say what my symptoms are because i want to know for sure if that's been my problem all along. Please list as many symptoms as possible. Thank you

Eventually the engine would crank over sluggish, kinda like an advanced ignition timing.
The primary cable will lose its conductivity.
This system was weak even when pristine (new) because the daisy chain lugs were too thin tin for their intended purpose.
I have run into this condition in the automotive market and industrial market, it is not limited to honda.
If you know how to operate a DVOM you will see the voltage drop.
