Tarp Canopy
canopy/roof for an aluminum row boat?
I want to build a roof like structure too put on a boat. it needs to be portable and easy to take down. the boat is basically a row boat but aluminum and I use a small trolley motor on it. I want to use a tarp and some spare wooden rods I have to build it. please give me some ideas or I would really like some links that would help. All I want the canopy for is to shade me from the sun because I won't fish much in the rain.

there are inexpensive shade umbrellas that have a bracket that attaches them to the back of a fishing seat that might work well ($29.95)

you might also want to look at installing a folding bimini top
