winchester 1890 mod 2 pump 22short, s/n #68385---
this was my great uncles gun.has some issues. basic cleanup required. all original . the front bracket for cartridge tube is separated from the cut in the barrel.the rear brkt is also loose. 22short is stamped on top of hex barrel between receiver and site. the receiver looks like it was scrubbed with steel wool but is rusty and some fine pitting. the barrel is not shiny and is overall rusty. the gun mechanisms work and fires ok.however the shell will not eject as eject mechanism looks worn, or the chamber may be expanded due to heavy use? but plate is not shiny but rusty patina. stock has no heavy nicks or marks in original finish. looks like a screw or pin is missing in front of receiver on same side as receiver bolt. gun is solid and not missing anything as i can see. is this gun a wall hanger or worth restoring ? can you estimate a value please ? thank you.
