How do you anchor a tractor to a flatbed?
How do you anchor a tractor or skid steer to a flatbed trailer? Using those ratchet straps, or chains.
Tractors (and other things with wheels) need to be secured VERY well.
I recommend the use of chains and binders instead of straps for loads of over 2,000 pounds.
And make sure the chains are of sufficient strength for the weight of the tractor being carried.
And the binders must be TIGHT. Tires bounce, and this results in chains getting tighter and loser as the tires flex under road conditions. A lose chain can result in a chain breaking.
Loads should be "stretched" from front to back. Depending on the size and weight of the tractor, it must have at least 2 chains (one in front, and one in back) pulling against each other. Larger tractors should have one chain for each tire.
