Trade Ubaldo for A-Rod?
12-team 5x5 H2H more or less.
I've got Roy Halladay, Jonathan Sanchez, Ted Lilly, Jair Jurrjens as starters with Cliff Lee coming off the DL soon. I'm also riding Pelfrey, Penny and Jaime Garcia while they are semi-hot.
My current 3B is Casey McGehee with no back-up if he gets cold. I drafted Ubaldo 82nd overall in round 9 while A-Rod was drafted 3rd overall. Ubaldo is obviously hot and A-Rod is putting up 'pedestrian' numbers in comparison, but I can't pass up this opportunity to trade up in both ADP and need, can I?
I will be packaging Ty Wiggington in the deal and getting Kyle Lohse in return (to be dropped immediately).
You have to do it. Arod - the best hitting 3B, in that amazing yankee lineup, in that small yankee stadum. Plus, you have other good pitchers so it's not like Ubaldo is the only pitcher you have.
PLUS, think about this. Could Ubaldo's value be any higher for trading? He's coming off a no-hitter and a hot start... I don't think he'll be THIS good. Good but not amazing. Sure that's hard to trade away but he can't keep this up (remember, he does pitch in Colorado where balls fly out of the park).
