Ridgid Tubing
is my hamster hibernating?
My little Panda hamster, Luna, was fine last night but thus morning I woke up and she was half way in her tube not moving. At first I was scared that she was dead, but when I got her out she was moving slowly and her whiskers where moving. I've tried to warm her up and stuff and her eyes have opened a few times. I'm scared because she was totally fine last night, but we can't take her to a vet because there aren't any near by. Is she sick? Shes not ridgid but she does feel cold. If she is hibernating PLEASE help me with how to get her out of hibernation! Thank you in advance.
Normally hamsters do not hibernate unless it is very cold in there habitat. Maybe you can heat up the temperature in there? Put some little cut up peices of toilet paper or cut up peices of a bandana or shirt work the best. My robo hamster Cherry LOVES to chew on a big strip of a blue bandana i put in her cage. Now its ripped up though, because she sleeps on the peices.
