golf buddy range finder does the courses be on it when u buy it or do you have to do it yourself?

im getting the golf buddy platinum range finder and there are 40000 course capacity would all the courses be on it when i turn it on or would i have to download them myself

They say that it has courses from around the world already pre loaded. So it seems to me that you just select the course that's already pre loaded and go from there.
