Post Trim
How often do you trim your kittens claws?
It seems like I'm trimming my kittens nails on a weekly basis as they really get sharp/needle like and dig into your skin, even when she is trying to be loving and 'knead' at you.
Anyone else's cats claws as sharp?
She does use her scratching post but not as much as she used to. She is now 4 months old.
Maybe I'm not trimming them enough when I do it but she really struggles and I don't want to risk cutting them too short.......
It's best to just trim them a tiny bit. The less you take off of the nail, the more often you have to trim them. Once a week is good. It's best to get her used to it as early as possible, and she will become much more tolerant of it. Here's a good website with advice and instructions:
