Polishing Countertop
My brother stained my mom's quartz/granite kitchen countertop! Please help!?

You can see the image above. I feel so bad for my mom. Her countertop looks ruined. It's honed finished Caesarstone (quartz). My brother put a hot teapot on it and left it there. It made a perfect circle on the countertop that looks like it lightened the finish. We just can't tell if its an overlay over the countertop, or it actually took away something from the countertop.
Help! Any ideas? Any experts out there? Can we polish the surface with anything? Buff it? Stain it?

There is nothing that you or your brother (or your mother, for that matter) can do to fix this. You need a professional to come out with professional equipment and refinish it, and that will cost quite a bit of money. It's an expensive lesson for your brother to learn, and I'm sorry he has to learn it - he must feel terrible.
