Plus Hammer Drill

Adding a dishwasher to a garbage disposal?
I currently have a garbage disposal under the sink... and I'm adding a dishwasher hookup to it. The connection for the dishwasher input is currently closed off... and I don't see an obvious way to open it up.
I'm hoping someone with plumbing experience can tell me the normal way to open it up... drill it out? Should it pop out if I put a screwdriver and hammer in there to open it?
Its a Badger 5 Plus In Sink Erator, 5/8 horsepower... nothing fancy. Just need to know I'm not going to damage something opening this connection up.
It is usually just a plastic plug that punches out. Use a screw driver and a hammer and punch it into the disposal. You will need to reach into the disposal and remove the plug so it doesn't damage the disposal when you turn it on. As others have said, make sure you loop the dishwasher drain up so it touches the bottom of your counter top and then comes down to the disposal. Secure it so that it stays put against the counter top. This will prevent any sink drain backup into the dishwasher
