Lift Hoist
Is it safe to put your can on a car hoist?
or whatever they call it. IT's the ones that people at home have. NOt the big professional ones. I'm worried that my car is heavy and that little weak machine will not lift my car but puncture it. I heard one kip punctured his truck in auto, cuz he moved ahead. but i'm wondering where you are supose to put that thingy. i don't even know what that machine looks like. i won't want to take auto just to ruin my car.
They say this thing lifts it up. then theyhave to use two supporters. like they support it. but first something has to push the car up. and i'm more worried about damaging my car.
ok man! most cars/trucks have a JACK thats either in the trunk, under one of the seats, or behind one of the seats, oh and some of the SUV's today have them in the floor board of the back hatch area, or in the side wall of the hatch area. but anyway. most of the time your auto manuel will tell you where to put your JACK at. if you have a Truck usually there is a Frame or a Sub Frame thats quite visible or you can put it just under the Shock posts on the rear axle. most cars of to day have what is called a pinch weld under the side of the car. if you look under the door about eight-teen inches from the door jam. you should see where the factory has welded two, three, four sheets of metal together. they stick down like a strip almost the length of the car from wheel to wheel. Pinch welds are generally a safe place to lift a vhehicle. Honestly though READ your owners manuel it will tell you what you want to know. if you don't have one go to the nearest dealer and ask the Pro's.
