Kitchen sink leaking underneath?
I noticed the cabinet under my kitchen sink was wet. Upon further review, I noticed that when I shut the water off, a good bit of water leaks out into the cabinet. However, I cannot seem to determine where it is coming from. Any help appreciated. Thanks.
You can start by putting a bucket under the sink and letting the basin(s) fill half way up then let them go and see if the basket strainer is leaking. Run the garbage disposal while running water through it and keep an eye out.That will rule out the drains if there is no leak. Next see if water leaks around the handle when you turn it on. Check the caulking around the sink for gaps. If it's not always wet then the supply lines are good. The angle stops could need a quick tightening with 2 crescent wrenches if they are dripping.
