What can be used to get rid of ants in and around your kitchen sink without using a spray?

I have an exterminating service and they said the ants are seeking water. They came and dabbed a small chemical in the corners most times this works, but today I have them back again and they head for the garbage disposable. They go away during the night and return at day brake.

1. Boric acid is a bait that comes in various forms you could put out at when ever they are present. The ants take it to the nest and it gradually kills the queen.
2. I have a spray bottle that I mix 4-5 tablespoons of liquid dish soap in a pint of water. Soapy water kills all insects and spiders. And it helps clean things up.
