DROPPED PRECIOUS DIAMOND RING DOWN kitchen sink- HELP!!!?

PLEASE HELP NOW!
My wedding ring is really expensive- washed down drain while doing dishes!!!
My sink has cast iron pipes..........

Step one is to stop running any water down the drain and stop the dishwasher if it's running. Open the cabinet under the sink and look at the pipes as the go from the sink down toward the floor. there should be a trap system, where the water goes lower, then curves up in a u turn to rise higher again, then another turn back down or to the side. the lowest pipe before it goes back up toward the sink is the location where we are hoping to find the ring. Above and below the lowest part of the trap there should be some fittings that accept a large adjustable wrench. Loosen them both and work the trap out of the joint, keeping the lowest part of the pipe lower than either end. Once the pipe is free, get a bucket and empty the pipe out. your ring should come tumbling out. If not, use a snake or coat hanger or whatever you have available to clear any clogs you find in the trap. If there are clogs above the trap in the pipe toward the kitchen, try to clear them as well, but put your bucket under the pipe to catch your ring if its up in the clog.
