Impact Wrench

Use regular sockets with an impact wrench to change tires?
I just boguht a good impact wrench on sale today for $50 (regular price $150). Now, I wonder if I can use my regular sockets, instead of the special impact wrench sockets ($50 a set), to change tires of my small car (corolla)?
You could use a regular socket, but there is a good chance that the socket could be damaged. The repeated hammering effect (the "impact") can cause a thinner wall socket to crack. Impact sockets have thicker sides, and can withstand the stress.
You can use a regular socket in an emergency, but you are better off with the correct tool for the job.
