when should in install a low pressure shower mixer valve instead of a high pressure one?

I just put a low pressure shower mixer in my shower and it seems to work fine. The high pressure one does too. The cylinder has mains pressure written on it? What happens if I leave the low pressure mixer in?

If it is working then why are you messing with or worrying about it?
