another 1982 Yamaha 650 Maxim question?

i'm staring at the pivoting coupling in the frame that couples the drive shaft to the transmission. i see a large nut on either side, with one side having a hex socket in the middle of the nut. any assist in how to get this coupling off would be a big help. it looks essential to pulling the motor out of the frame which is my ultimate goal.

Nah, the drive shaft just slips onto your output shaft. When you get to pulling the motor, it will just slide forward and out to the right. If you run into clearance issues, pull your back wheel and final drive, and then pull your drive shaft back a few inches. Trust me, you'll see.
