Why is my Wii constantly grinding when before it never made any sound?

So last night I was going to play my Wii and I noticed the whole time it was on while the disc was in it was grinding the whole time. Even while playing games. It hasn't done this before. Does anyone know why and if I need to send it in?

This has happened to me before.
Take the wii console, and turn it around. There is something stuck in the grid boxes area. I had paper trying to be sucked into the wii making this noise.
