Convertible carseats? I need your input ladies!?
My daughter is 4 months old, but she is already 26 in. long so she will be outgrowing her graco snugride carseat sooner than I would like. And also when she has her coat on the straps are getting snug.
So, I'm looking for a convertible carseat to put her in. So far, my top pick is probably the Evenflo Triumph Advance LX (link at bottom)
So, basically I was wondering:
how big were they when they outgrew their infant carrier?
what carseat your little one has now?
do you like it, why?
what kind of car you drive?(i have a ford fusion)
where you got your carseat?
I'm just looking to find the best, safest, most comfortable carseat for my daughter! Thanks

Our first was out of the infant carrier at 5 months, the second at 8. We have two convertible seats, one is a Cosco Serena and the other is an Evenflo Tribute. Both have been fine, easy to install and use. One of our cars is an Explorer and the other is a Corolla. One seat was from Walmart and the other was from Shopko. The Consumer Reports highest rated convertible seat is a Britax, the Evenflo seats usually end up in a bout the middle of the pack (although according to links posted by others the seat you have chosen seems well reviewed and rated). And remember, while the legal forward facing requirements are usually 12 months AND 20/22lbs it is safest to remain rear facing to the limits of the car seat (which on convertible seats will be between 30-35lbs).
The seat you have highlighted you can get at amazon.com for a little bit less (in case you were shopping around for the best price).
Here's a bit of information that you may not know about wearing a coat in a car seat from: http://www.carseat.org/Resources/FAQs.htm#coats
During cold weather, what is the best way to keep my child warm in his safety seat?
Clothing worn by children can present compression and harness routing problems. Bulky jackets and snowsuits can compress in a crash and leave the harness slack on a child, allowing excessive movement or even ejection. It is best to have children travel without coats, to put coats on backwards, or to add a blanket over the child after the harness has been buckled. Jackets that are worn the regular way should be no heavier than lightweight fleece fabric or be unfastened to allow contact between the child and the harness or vehicle belt. An option for an infant in an infant seat is a shower cap-style seat cover. This style of cover fits over the top of the infant seat, has an elastic band around the edge, and has no fabric behind or under the child.
