Building a shop/garage out in the country, still need inspection/permit?
I'm building a garage on some land without a house on it out in the country. Do I still need inspection or permit. If so, how would I go about doing so? contact the county? thanks,
Laws very from place to place but as a rule of thumb, if it is a permanent structure, there is probably a code regardless of whether it has power, water or gas included. If you are not in the city limits then yes, you should check with the county, unless you live in Louisiana, then you would check with the parish.:)
