What kind of drill bit would i need to drill out a lock on a pistol trigger lock?
I already have permission from police. I have a master lock on the trigger well of my desert eagle handgun but have lost the key. police told me to use a drill but I'm concerned that if the bit breaks i wont be able to get it out to use a new bit. any recommendations????

Happened to me once too.
I used standard "general purpose" drill bits in a drill-press to turn the trigger lock into swiss cheese.
Consider the lock and the drill bits to be "expendable". But be careful and avoid putting scratches on the handgun.
For what it is worth, the experience left me unimpressed with the anti-theft or child-proofing capabilities of trigger locks.
