Will Dirt and Sand mix make good potting soil?
I'm pulling plants from my garden and potting them in buckets. Might move, want to take them with. Would also like to bring them inside for the winter. The problem is the dirt looses it's "fryability" in the buckets. Dirt gets hard. If I put 50/50 sand/dirt will that work? Not going to go buy anything. Want to use stuff from "the land".
It depends on the type of plants you have, some plants do well with sand mixtures and some do not. To see if your plant will do well in sand, look it up online and hopefully that will help.
