Die Stocks Type

what type of printer would be good for greetings cards?
Hiya I am looking to buy a decent printer for my card craft hobby. It needs to be able to print onto good quality card stock i often use 300gsm card and i use acetate and vellum alot also.
Am i better to buy an inkjet or a laserjet?
I was using an epson but that has died and was really old so off the market now
Are the Kodak printers any good just thought that if the print quality is good for pics might be good for crads?
Any help much appreciated
Thanks
You are best off with a laser. This article compares the two and lists the advantages and disadvantages of each. http://ccs-digital.com/Best-printer-deals.asp
Make sure you get a printer with a straight paper path. Some printers feed in through the front and feed out through the front. This means the paper must make a complete U turn. Card stock does not handle this well. The Epson Artisan also has a U path. The Epson NX and Workforce series have a pretty straight path. I fed raised invitation cardstock with an embossed pattern into a workforce 500 and was able to print an intricate pattern on it.
