Continuous Rim

Sorry I'm a new English learner, I want to ask on how to use these words?
it is difficult for me to get a clue on how to use these words, i was trying to post this question on some English lesson sites but I want some native speakers' answers for this.
how to use finish and finishes, is there any plural form of finish and is there any continuous form from finish?
what about this word:
Clint Bowyer wins, RCR finishes 1-2 in Sunday's Amp Energy Juice 500 at Talladega
is that a continuous form?
taken from
SceneDaily.com Sunday, October 31, 2010
and now about use,
if I say, He uses red rims for his car
then is this correct if I say: the uses of the red rims makes his car looks good
pardon me about this, if I can't get my point because my lack of vocabulary, but can we use the "use" with continuous, past or in basic from like:
the used of the red rims made his car looked good (past)?
Thank you so much in advance!
ha ha its ok (:
so for the words finish and finishes there can be a plural as in
"The two colors of FINISHES i got for the deck are brown and tan"
that's if your talking about a thing like a wood finish or a finish for anything your painting..
finish would be.. "i need to finish my math homework!"
Use:
He uses red rims for his car would be correct
instead of saying the uses of the red rims you would say the use of the red rims!
in some instances you would say uses like "he uses his toothbrush at night and in the morning!"
for past tense you would still use ..the use of the red rims made his car look good.
you would use made as the past tense!
I hope i helped (:
