Does colored concrete require any maintenance for my patio?

We're going to do a patio in our backyard and debating on getting just plain grey cement, or grey stamped, or colored stamped concrete?
We're leaning to not doing colored because I've heard it can fade and/or require maintenance. Anyone have any recommendations from experience? Would just stamped grey cement look good?

It depends - if you use the stain in the concrete as it is mixed, there is no maintenance. This is because the color is infused into the concrete.
If you stain it after it is poured, you may have to restain periodically. This is because the color is laid on top of the concrete.
