there's the features for the sub now which amp is better for really good bass?
a mono amp that's around 700w at 1 ohm, or a 2 channel amp that is around 700w bridged at 4 ohms?
and give me a link for the one thts best i really dnt kno were to look. Thanx for any awnsers!!
I take it you're planning for a pair?
Regardless of the impedance - as long as the power is the same the output of the subs should very similar.
There is some debate about running at a low impedance having a negative effect on sound quality, but most speaker/amp engineers tend to believe a subwoofer's response difference would be nearly impossible for a human to detect.
The only real factor IMO is the class of the amp (and related efficiency).
If you get a class D mono it is going to require less current from your charging system than a class a/b of the same power.
The Soundstream dtr1.900d seems like a pretty good option, althoug the vertical mounting position may be a drawback.
I think your options would open up quite a bit if you just look for something around 1000w at 1 ohm. Just run the gain a bit low if overpowering is a concern. I don't think the price will increase much.
