Circulator Pump
Why does a zone with circulator pump on my furnace put out heat with thermostat off? ?
I have a 5 zone system on my forced hot water oil fired furnace with 5 pumps. I have this one zone that continues to put out heat even though I have disconnected the thermostat and removed the relay from the control box. This system goes to upstairs bedrooms, and this past summer the only thing I did was cut the pipes and re-route the pipes for the new floor plan. So, I cannot figure out why I still get heat and the pump is off?????
are you sure the pump is running? it may be the water flowing because the warmer water moves up as the cooler water moves down. have you removed all power to pump? and try shutting off flow at a valve
