I'm selling a saddle on ebay...?
I asked this question last night, but I only got one good answer... I need more opinions. Here's info about the saddle:
From early 1980's
Unknown brand
17.5" seat
Used
Western pleasure/trail saddle
Still use-able
Beautiful tooling
New nylon straps (old ones weren't safe)
New wool cinch (old one wasn't safe)
Will throw in a black saddle stand to anyone willing to pay the "Buy-Now" price
I WAS going to put the buy now price at $700 and start the auction price at $250... but after some thought, I'm thinking that might sound unreasonable. What would YOU pay? How much should I charge for shipping? Thanks 
I have sold a few saddles on ebay, and I go by this theory
I put the start it now price at the bare minimum that I would be willing to sell it for. Sometimes you will be surprised at how many people bid & you end up getting a higher price then you thought you would.
Make sure to take lots of pics, ppl feel more comfortable if you have a TON of pics.
Check and see what other people are charging for shipping similar types of saddles. I only sold english saddles on ebay & I charged $25 for shipping which usually ended up being about right. Put the saddle in the smallest box possible! It will be cheaper if you ship it in your own box as well, I had to ship one saddle in a box from UPS and they ended up putting it in a HUGE box & charging me $50!
