Brass Tools

Can the impact of brass or copper on steel cause sparks?
I have a steel motorcycle gas tank that I need to use a dremmel brush tool on to clean a small surface to apply JB weld and repair a hole. The bristles on the dremmel tool are either brass or copper, probably brass, and I am wondering if they could possibly cause sparks upon impact with the steel. Although the gas tank is clean and has been properly ventilated, I don't want to blow myself up, so I was wondering if flint is the only metal that causes sparks upon impact with steel or will brass or copper also make sparks?
Thanks!
If that worried about it, try a flapper wheel:
